Accreditation

An independently owned, non-profit organization, Our Lady of the Hills is governed by a board of directors but works in collaboration with the Archdiocese of San Antonio's Catholic Schools office regarding its operating guidelines and accreditation. The college preparatory curriculum is based on educational methods pioneered by two world renowned teaching orders: the Jesuits and the Dominicans.

Our Lady of the Hills is accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Accrediting Commission (TCCAC). An agency that accredits all Catholic Schools K-12, it was established by the Bishops of Texas and has been formally recognized by the Texas Education Agency. The school also is committed to seeking full accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as soon as it is eligible.

The Texas Education Agency regards all schools of the Archdiocese, whether parochial or private, as a single school district. Consequently, it is the duty of the Archdiocese of San Antonio's school superintendent to conduct business with the Agency on behalf of any school.

Every school in the Archdiocese is expected to have an institutional membership in the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA)
