Our Lady of the Hills is so grateful for all our wonderful volunteers. We rely on volunteers to make many things possible throughout the school year. Most of our volunteers consist of our thoughtful and caring parents. In order to be part of this wonderful group, the Archdiocese of San Antonio requires us to obtain a criminal background check on each volunteer, ask each volunteer to read a pamphlet on sexual misconduct, and have each volunteer take a short online training on Protecting God’s Children (Safe Environment Training).
Below are the 3 items required. (Reminder: all 3 items must be completed before you can volunteer)
#1 Complete the following Criminal Background Check release form. Print the form and take it to OLH OR save it as a document and e-mail it to email@example.com.
#2 Read the SEXUAL MISCONDUCT pamphlet. SEXUAL MISCONDUCT PAMPHLET
Print and complete the form stating you have read the pamphlet, and take the form to OLH OR save it as a document and e-mail it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
#3 Complete the SAFE ENVIRONMENT (VIRTUS) TRAINING online.
Step 1: Go to the following link on the Archdiocese of San Antonio website:
Step 2: Click Safe Environment Training
Step 3: Click on “Protecting God’s Children Registration”
Step 4: Create a USER ID and PASSWORD and continue with registration. (NOTE: Write down your user name and password; you will need it to continue training)
Select location: Our Lady of the Hills Catholic School
It will ask: Have you ever taken this course before: Select NO and continue
It will then ask where you would like to take the course. Scroll all the way down and click on
“Protecting God’s Children” in English or Spanish. It will then take you to the VIRTUS site where
you will re-enter your username and password.
Once you have completed the training (about 20 minutes), print the certificate and take it to OLH OR save it as a document and e-mail it to email@example.com.
THANK YOU!!!!! We so appreciate each and every one of you who has completed the three requirements!
